For now, most of the documentation is just a snapshot of the old Namesys site (archive.org, 2007-09-29).

Reiser4progs

The tools to maintain a Reiser4 filesystem are called reiser4progs and can be found on kernel.org.
The current version is v1.0.7.
To compile reiser4progs, we'll need libaal too:
$ wget http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/fs/reiser4/libaal/libaal-1.0.5.tar.bz2 $ wget http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/fs/reiser4/libaal/libaal-1.0.5.tar.bz2.sign $ gpg --recv-keys 517D0F0E $ gpg --verify libaal-1.0.5.tar.bz2.sign libaal-1.0.5.tar.bz2 gpg: Signature made Sun Apr 20 01:21:05 2008 CEST using DSA key ID 517D0F0E gpg: Good signature from "Linux Kernel Archives Verification Key <ftpadmin@kernel.org>" $ tar -xjf libaal-1.0.5.tar.bz2 $ cd libaal-1.0.5 $ ./configure --prefix=/opt/libaal && make && sudo make install
Now we can build reiser4progs:
